The CDC Unit at the College of Computer Science and Information Systems, in cooperation with Earthlink Company, held a specialized workshop for third and fourth-year students, with the attendance of the Administrative Assistant and the Scientific Assistant of the Deanship of the College and a distinguished presence from the teaching staff, as well as the presence of the Manager of CDC Center at the University of Basra. The workshop was entitled: “Fundamentals of Wired and Wireless Communications and Data Analysis Systems”

The workshop was presented by the trainer Saif Ahmed Mohsen, a senior network engineer at Earthlink Company, and Mr. Ayman Raed Fattah, a wireless communications maintenance engineer. It was a valuable opportunity for the students participating in the workshop to view the latest updates and technical information in the field of networks from prominent specialists in one of the major companies in Iraq in providing Internet service. As well as to view what the labor market needs in terms of enhanced skills that are added to the academic foundation that the student obtains during his studies.
