University of Basra Organizes Workshop on Promoting a Culture of Sustainability in the Workplace

The Rehabilitation, Employment, and Follow-up Division at the University of Basra organized a workshop on promoting a culture of sustainability in the workplace.

The workshop aimed to achieve a balance between economic success, social responsibility, and environmental preservation to ensure business continuity and benefit everyone.

The workshop, presented by specialists in the center's affairs, addressed raising awareness among employees about the importance of conserving resources, reducing waste, and rationalizing resource consumption by minimizing electricity, water, and paper usage. It also covered waste management, recycling, waste sorting, encouraging reuse, and implementing environmentally friendly practices. Furthermore, the workshop emphasized the use of materials and technologies that reduce environmental impact, promoting social responsibility, supporting community initiatives, and participating in volunteer work.
