Professor Jabbar Amin, Director of the Scholarships and Cultural Relations Department, pointed out that the courses offered by the university focus on developing academic and cultural capabilities and leadership skills. These courses aim to elevate graduates' intellectual abilities to the next level, improve their quality of life, and mature their ideas and proposals, enabling them to become distinguished and influential individuals.

He added that the courses build self-confidence and increase their awareness of new developments to keep pace with the labor market. Therefore, students must strive to obtain information to enhance their productivity and self-development.

Dr. Ghazwan Abdul Latif, head of the Rehabilitation and Employment Division, stated that this symposium aims to discuss vital topics that shape graduates' professional futures and encourage them to participate in these courses, which provide them with additional skills required by specialized companies. These include safety passport courses, English language courses, and specialized computer programs.

For his part, Mr. Salem Abdul Redha Salem, head of the Citizens' Affairs Division, explained that some concerns among graduates were due to weak skills. These courses will be addressed with the availability of these courses. The courses will be classified according to specializations and are free of charge. They will be held at the University of Basra Presidency or at the Continuing Education Center, with tests and stages for graduates to pass to secure suitable employment opportunities.
