
University of Basra organizes an awareness lecture on the green economy and green jobs.
The Rehabilitation, Employment and Follow-up Unit at the College of Education for Humanities, in cooperation with the Rehabilitation, Employment and Follow-up Unit at the College of Veterinary Medicine, organized an awareness lecture on the importance of the green economy and the jobs it provides.
The lecture, delivered by the Head of the Rehabilitation, Employment and Follow-up Unit at the College of Veterinary Medicine, M.M. Sarah Salem, included an explanation of the sectors of the green economy and green professions.
The lecture aimed at how to achieve the goals of sustainable development, environmental awareness of the individual, clean energy and its importance in the green economy, and emerging professions in the field of the green economy and green entrepreneurship.
The lecture concluded with recommendations, most notably:
Encouraging cooperation between governments, the private sector, and civil society to enhance green job opportunities.
Supporting entrepreneurs and small projects that contribute to environmental sustainability
