The Rehabilitation, Employment and Follow-up Unit at the College of Education for Pure Sciences, in cooperation with the Department of Life Sciences, held a scientific workshop entitled “The Role of Insects, Fungi and Algae in the Ecosystem” on Monday, April 7, 2025. This workshop aimed to enhance the specialized knowledge of third-year students regarding the environmental impact of important living organisms, such as insects, fungi and algae, which are in contact with the most important living organism, which is humans, in addition to other living organisms. These organisms play important roles in the world’s environment due to their enormous diversity in form, function and lifestyle, their large biomass and their interaction with other living organisms, and because they are the main contributor to biodiversity in most of the multiple environmental habitats.
