
Under the generous patronage of the Prime Minister, the Supreme Council for Youth - National Team for Digital Youth organized a workshop on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, entitled "How to Create the Future with Today's Technology." The workshop was held at the University of Basra, College of Administration and Economics, Department of Management Information Systems, Discussion Hall. Representatives from the seminar included Dr. Yassin Al-Amiri, a member of the Higher Education Committee in the House of Representatives; Dr. Shukr Mahmoud Al-Amiri, a member of the Basra Provincial Council and Chairman of the Finance and Administrative Committee; Dr. Abdul-Hussein Tawfiq, Dean of the College of Administration and Economics; Dr. Muhammad Al-Sharaa, Rapporteur of the Department of Management Information Systems; M.E. Shaima Qasim, Head of the Rehabilitation and Employment Unit; and a large gathering of management and economics students.
The seminar addressed the role of technology in shaping the digital future and explored the opportunities offered by modern technologies in empowering individuals and enhancing youth's capacity for innovation and creativity. The seminar highlighted several themes related to digital transformation and the importance of keeping pace with technological skills in light of rapid changes. The workshop concluded that the future of individuals and societies depends on their ability to interact positively with technology and harness it as a tool for achieving sustainable development and building a knowledge-based economy capable of competing globally.
